Urgh, anxiety! This is such a sneaky feeling, sometimes it lingers in the background like a low hum, and other times it comes out of nowhere like symbols crashing together. Everyday life can bring on anxiety in even the coolest calmest people, when you add in a difficult experience it’s no wonder over 40 million adults in the US experience it daily.
You can do this journaling prompt in addition to or instead of the guided audio, try both for deeper support.
- What is your anxiety telling you? Give it a voice and write down what it says.
- Let yourself take a closer look at your anxiety to unearth any underlying reasons you’re feeling this way rather than avoiding or shying away from it
In addition to the video and prompt here, I recommend 4-2-6 breathing, the soothing balloon imagery, or visiting the grounding and breathing toolkit. You can also email me specific requests, and subscribe to my mailing list below to get notified when I release new content made just for you.
If being anxious is a common experience you’d like more support with, I recommend visiting the breathwork and grounding toolkit to practice immediate calming techniques. I created it based on my own experience as a survivor and integrated evidence-based coping tools, prompts, and exercises to further support you in your unique journey. I'm here for you!
